Natwest Update (25th June 2012) - All you need to know - Suck My Trend

Natwest Update (25th June 2012) – All you need to know

Natwest suffered from a great deal of bad press this week after a technical blunder caused services to not work, and by the time the issue was fixed, a huge backlog of customer transactions was left in place for the bank to work hard on and catch up with.

However, more than a week since the issue first occured, the problem has now been solved and Natwest say that they have caught up with the backlog and are now operating as normal.

There are still issues in the airspace of banking however, so the branches across the UK will be open from 8-6 this week (25th June to 29th June), as according to RBS group tweet:

Update on technical issue: 1200 main branches opening late 25th to 29th June http://t.co/rGVCu4ym #NatWest#RBS

The biggest trend on Twitter right this moment is Natwest, with over 500 tweets every single minute being posted, since the RBS update a few moments ago.

In the same news, Nathalie Westerman is still being bombarded with tweets, after a shortened version of her name gave her the idea of the Twitter username Natwest. She is claiming she is not a bank, but with thousands of people adding @natwest to their tweets from assumption without even looking at the profile, she is receiving a huge amount of tweets. lets hope her email alerts are off. Matt Lucas and David Walliams have joined in the fun too, mocking the RBS bank with their own show, Little Britain. Check out this amazing picture they came up with, and featured on their official twitter.

Also, in regards to the @natwest username story, we have the official Natwest Help Twitter here, so you don’t get confused. @natwest_help

Overall, its going to be a tough day, if not week for Natwest, and this goes to show how a Trend on twitter can have such an effect.
