Well we have seen our fair share of Endless Runners lately after the success of Temple Run, as well as the release of Temple Run Brave and Subway Surfers.

Some have not been as good as the others, but one in particular has hit the Top Free Apps list, and quite frankly I have no idea why.

It is called Escape Bear, and it is perhaps one of the worst Apps I have ever played. Humble Games are behind the title, and the reviews the game received (3 star average) say it all really. How this has climbed up the charts I am not sure.

You start the game in this poorly graphic designed dungeon with hands popping out the floor playing as a teddy bear for no apparent reason. A crazy ninja black teddy bear is chasing you, and when he catches up he literally beats the shit out of you. There are spikes coming out of the wall, and the animations with jumps and swiping from side to side are really poor compared to other titles.

I know it can be hard to design a good app sometimes, but if these guys had taken a long hard look at the competition, they could surely see they would not stand a chance. So why on earth is this app trending? You tell me.

There is a massive lack of upgrades to purchase for your character in game, and the stuff at the top you have to pay for. The difference is this has running levels, different from temple run, but from what I can see they are all pretty much the same thing. If more time and effort was put into this app, it could of been so much better, especially with the success of Naughty Bear.
