Gran Turismo, the popular console racer for Playstation has hit mobiles. In all honesty, let’s hope they don’t get sued by Sony.
What we do know is everyone in the world is downloading it, and in just a few days over 100,000 downloads. That is a massive amount and the trend is still on the rise meaning that more people are downloading, installing and giving the application a go. We have given it a go ourselves after seeing how popular it had become in such a short space of time, and we feel it was hyped up a little too much. People see the Gran Turismo title and expect to be downloading a brilliant racing title with stunning graphics and incredible gameplay, but that was not quite the case with what we played with.
Graphics not so good
The graphics are not very good at all compared to other apps that we have played, both free and premium paid. The graphics work and they are responsive to how you are playing the game, but they could be so much better considering the game is always on a similar terrain and visual, so the application does not require a lot of space even if the graphics were made a tad better. I wouldn’t like to give this a go on a screen any larger than the one on my Samsung Galaxy S2 as I imagine it would look very grainy indeed.
Good reviews, but bugs
The reviews have been good, with the average rating of the game hitting 4 stars out of 5 out of a total 1,085 reviews to date. This is rather impressive but the star that is missing seems to be because of the bugs that exist with particular devices and users. Some people are reporting not being able to play the game properly, especially on newer devices such as the Galaxy Nexus, but this is a common issue with a number of new devices running new app and games, so we expect this issue to be solved for all major apps within a month at the most.

Race and Unlock
Its not really racing, but an endless runner collecting coins, such as Highway Rider and other similar titles. This kind of defeats the object of calling it Gran Turismo, but people still seem to be enjoying the title regardless. As you drive you must dodge the incoming traffic and collect as many coins as possible. As you gain more coins and experience, you will be able to purchase new cars and go even faster and have more endless fun.
Endless Runner style already in other Games
As we mentioned this endless runner style racing game is common, and this is not an original title, so we don’t expect it to trend forever, but for now with so many downloads, this is a truly trending title within Google Play, and it is free, so you might as well just give it a go and see what you personally think of it.
On an end note, this hilarious review made us laugh:
In the help menu it says “move phone side to side to avoid asstacles”. WOW.
He rated it 3/5.
