The Olympic Games is less than a week away and there are already expectations for the opening and closing ceremony. We have already revealed who is performing at the opening ceremony but now the trending news is wanting to know who is performing at the closing ceremony. It hasn’t even begun yet and we are already looking forward to the finale.
Today it has been confirmed that Spice Girls will be performing at the closing ceremony. There has been trending news about David Beckham not being put forward for the Team GB footbal squad and this caused tension for the Spice Girls as Victoria Beckham refused to perform. However she has luckily changed her mind! This performance will definitely bring to light their new Westend Stage show Viva Forever which opens at Piccadilly Theatre on 11th December 2012.
Other performances for the closing ceremony include Take That, The Who and George Micheal. Sir Paul McCartney had also been suggested to be playing after his successful performances for the Queen’s Jubilee, however he has seen to take the stage at the opening ceremony, but he might make another surprise appearance at the close too. We will just have to wait and see!
The closing ceremony also includes the extinguishing of the flame and the handover to the next hosting city (Rio, Brazil). The closing ceremony starts at 9pm on 12th August.
