It was more than expected that The Dark Knight Rises would be a big one in the box office, but it was actually named the biggest 2D film ever made. Critics feel that if it did have 3D capabilities that it would of topped that list too, but Warner Bros said no to the 3D and said it didn’t need it. It seems they were right.

Suck My Trend team are off to see it tomorrow, to take advantage of Orange Wednesday (2 for 1 tickets with our Mobile Network), so we will hopefully enjoy the experience just as much too.

Warner Bros did not reveal the figures and stats of the film’s success for a few days, because of the tragedy that hit Aurora, Colorado. It would not of been good for Warner Bros to say how successful the film was whilst people were still distraught all over the world about a shooting happening at the premiere. To be honest, it should have been at least a week after considering the circumstances.

The Opening Weekend was the biggest ever, even with the cancelled premiere’s in some locations.
