Olympic Google Doodles - Suck My Trend

Olympic Google Doodles

It is the first day of the Olympics and it is trending all over the web, TV and radio. Google has taken full advantage of this by creating specially designed images as their Google Doodles on their homepage. Over the entire Olympic period we will be gathering a collection of the very best Google Doodles.

27/08/2012 – Yesterday the doodle saw a line up of Olympic athletes holding each letter. Including a footballer, a swimmer, a  runner, a javelin thrower and a fencer. It was just in time for the opening ceremony and would have been seen by millions who used Google.

28/07/2012 – An archery inspired doodle of a woman aiming at a target which is an O.

29/07/2012 – A swimming and diving inspired doodle, getting ready to see the hopeful Rebecca Adlington. She is in the swimming final and she is a great chance for Team GB to receive their first medal of the Olympics.

30/07/2012 – Fencing

31/07/2012 – The Google doodle for today is the rings from the gymnastics event. We like this one because we want to celebrate the bronze medal that the men’s Team GB won yesterday. We also like the Elvis quiff and quirky moustache this character has.

1/08/2012 – Hockey

2/08/2012 – Table Tennis

3/08/2012 – Shot Put

4/08/2012 – Pole Vault

5/08/2012 – Synchronised Swimming

6/08/2012 – Javelin

7/08/2012 – Hurdles – an interactive doodle which allows you to take a go at your very own race jumping over the hurdles as you go before crossing the line.

8/08/2012 – Basketball – This one is interactive and you can see how many goals you can score in the hoops

9/08/2012 – Canoe Slalom – an interactive race to ride the river by dodging the rocks and banks of the river red, whilst paddling through the slalom gates before reaching the finish line in as quick time as possible

10/08/2012 – Football

11/08/2012 – Rythmic Gymnastics

12/08/2012 – Closing Ceremony
