Man orders TV – Assault Rifle Delivered

A man from D.C called Seth Horvitz thought it was time to upgrade his television. He said that he wanted something that could be used as a PC monitor, and also play some great shows and movies when he wants. He went online to Amazon as many others do and found the perfect choice. He paid, and then he waited a few days for his shiny new HD dream TV to appear at his front door.

Wired then goes on to say that Seth did get his delivery a few days later, but the shape of the box was strange. It was not the size or shape that he expected a TV to be. His first thoughts were that they sent a TV mount by mistake. Maybe Seth ordered the wrong item by accident. Then Seth opened the box and found something that does require that shaped box; a Sig Sauer 716 Military Grade Assault Rifle.

Seth made the right decision and called the police straight away, who came out and were rather shocked at what they found. Seth had to prove that he was in fact in the right, and had not purchased a weapon. The item was seized by police, as by law it was not allowed to be returned, and after some searching they found a gun shop owner who had actually bought the item. It seems the UPS stickers were muddled up. And there we were thinking it was the Third Party Amazon sellers that were dangerous.

It is just lucky that a young person or someone who could of misused the item did not receive it when all they wanted was an Xbox game.
