Europe Rocks for Red Bull Pro Nationals - Suck My Trend

Europe Rocks for Red Bull Pro Nationals

This weekend gone saw the first trip overseas from the UK for the Red Bull Pro Nationals Championship.

Mill MX track in Holland was the venue for a special weekend of racing in between the regular British based rounds of the season.

This event did not count towards the RBPN Championship, but was a tester for the 2013 Championship. Events 22, who promote the events with Red Bull,  are hoping to have a possible 5 rounds held in Europe next year. Exciting!!!

11th and 12th August saw a range of riders from across Europe, the UK and other countries lining up to compete in this exciting competition.

Steve ‘The Bomb’ Ramon appeared for his comeback race after injuring his neck a year previous in the GP, but proved himself well. The world champion placed 7th overall in the MX1 standings, and did ride well on his Rockstar Suzuki.

Meanwhile, Max Nagl took first overall in the MX1 standings. This was a great weekend for him, and performed well on his KTM Red Bull bike. Elliot Banks-Browne took 1st overall in the MX2 class, also on a KTM.

Nicholas Aubin, who is currently leading the Red Bull Pro National championship in the UK, was looking good in the MX1 ranks, placing 9th overall. That isn’t bad, pitted against stiff European competition.

Moving on, the next round back on home soil is due to be held at Hawkstone park on the 25th and 26th August.

This track is GP quality, so expect a great weekend if you are going to head down to see the action, hopefully with some late August sunshine.
