OnLive, the company behind a great technology to stream high quality graphics power to low end computers to allow cheap computers to play new and processor hungry games has closed down according to reports.
The company was going to use cloud-gaming technology, however a rumour from an email sent to Brian Fargo suggests that the company will no longer exist after today.
However, according to this article on Forbes, OnLive is not going out of business at all, so is this a hoax email being sent around or a genuine event that OnLive does not want to admit just yet for some particular reasons beyond our knowledge?
This has all happened within the last so it is hard to vote which story is true and whether this is a rumour or hoax.
Also, if the company does continue, will the staff still not be laid off? This has yet to be confirmed by OnLive in any press material as of this time.
We will attempt to keep you updated with an outcome as soon as we hear the official from OnLive.
