Wii U is Coming, Watch out Best Buy - Suck My Trend

Wii U is Coming, Watch out Best Buy

Reports through from Examiner today have suggested that the Wii U is coming by the end of this year, even potentially on Black Friday.

Examiner has said that Best Buy Stores need to be wary of the incoming crowds that will want the new Social approach to the Wii, which comes with it’s own social network.

Nintendo’s CEO has already stated that the Wii U will be priced a lot better than the 3DS was when that launched. The price was rather extortionate and left a lot of gamers confused when they purchased this incredible 3D device to find it was just a trick of your eyes and this was some kind of fake 3D trickery!

Regardless of these arcade and now almost archaic changes in the gaming industry since the release of those consoles, the Wii U is finally on it’s way and it does look rather good. But then with a good media campaign and enough funds into advertising even sites that offer short term loans look safe to use.

So back to Examiner. They rely on a report stating that it costs Nintendo around $180 to create a singular console, meaning they will need to sell them at $300 to make an awesome profit and impress the financial world. This would make it cheaper than the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3, so it’s not too bad, but then Nintendo’s consoles always have been cheaper, because they are not as good. The social network side of things sounds great, but unless they offer the ability to Log in with Facebook, like Bebo and MySpace do, then they probably won’t stand a chance and people would rather log off their consoles and put their computers on for a lovely session of Facebook goodness.

So, Examiner’s report today doesn’t really say much. It reassures the nation on the things we already know about the Wii U, and how it probably won’t be as amazing as we think it will be.
