Neil Armstrong has died today aged 82. He was the commander of Apollo 11 and part of the NASA team that were the first ever to land on the moon. The American astronaut had heart surgery 3 weeks ago and unfortunately did not recover well enough to battle on. On both Facebook and Twitter, as well as other social media platforms, “R.I.P Neil Armstrong” is trending as the world is paying their respects to the inspirational man. His most famous quotes during the moon landing over 40 years ago are still said even today. The man was obviously an Earthly hero as he is being remembered in such loving ways by all -

Some people inspire individuals, some generations but very few touch everyone on the whole planet. #NeilArmstrong was one of those.

After all the news recently about Lance Armstrong (the cyclist) we just hope that if your not really good with general knowledge you don’t get the two mixed up!

So R.I.P Neil Armstrong within the stars. We think that maybe after the recent photos of the mission to Mars, this might spark up another moon landing, maybe even to spread the ashes of the dearly loved one.
