The Creamfields Festival has been cancelled due to Heavy Downpours in the Cheshire area.

It is on the final day, but sadly due to the bad weather, it has been cancelled, and people are being urged to leave the area. As they are on a field, in muddy conditions already it is turning into a nightmare and witnesses report cars being stuck and struggles to get out of the area as well as personal belongings being “wrecked”.

The Festival Staff had the following to say in regards to the news:

“Festival goers attempting to leave the site should follow the directions of event staff to ensure the best exit route.

“Further updates will be made available throughout the day in respect of suitable exit routes for those leaving the site and also for those travelling to the site to collect friends or family.

Heavy rain has been hitting the area for the past 24 hours, and now a flood warning has landed on the area, meaning a cancellation has had to take place.

The weather hit London yesterday in a heavy rain mixed with a thunderstorm, and it seems to have now moved North to hit the festivals. It has luckily missed Reading where thousands currently are enjoying the festival spirit.
