The site that has caused all this hoax information is a sub site of MediaFetcher.  The date within the article changes to today’s date all the time, so people think that Eddie Murphy’s death has just happened on this day. This keeps it as a Trending Topic and causes many people to share it all over the web.

Eddie Murphy is alive and well, and as these hoaxes have occurred before, it does not come as a shock to the comedy actor.

The story in question claims that it is still developing and that they are awaiting more information surrounding the claims of Eddie Murphy’s death. Of course this is just a hoax, and keeps people coming back. The page has already been ‘liked’ on Facebook 32,000 times, and has been tweeted over 7,000 times.
