There is trending news this week that Bill Cosby has died, but reports suggest that this is only a hoax, and it’s not the first time it has happened to Bill, either.
The LA Times has reported that a Facebook page was set up called R.I.P Bill Cosby. This page went viral on the social networking site and gained over 300,000 likes.
In 2010 Cosby suffered a similar type of hoax, and he took to Twitter and CNN to prove to the world that he was in fact still alive, so that the hoax would stop. This time however it would seem it may not have even hit his radar, but if it did it hasn’t bothered him too much, or he simply doesn’t want to have to explain his health to the world again.
The Facebook page that was set up as part of the hoax now reads “Bill Cosby is not dead you idiots”. It also explains that people are idiots for finding their news on Social Networking sites. We would have to beg to differ, considering our trending updates can be found to the minute via Twitter and Facebook if we come across the right locations on both sites.
The Hoaxster simply wanted some attention on Facebook. I guess he doesn’t have many Facebook friends, or real life ones perhaps. Cosby is alive and well.
