15 Paralympic Swimming Finals Tonight, but will Team GB win Gold?


If you’ve been following the Paralympics, then you must know that tonight is the turn for the swimmers. We have already seen Ellie Simmonds go away with Gold! But tonight there is more action like this which should secure Great Britain will more Paralympic Medals. There are a total of 15 finals tonight, which commenced at 5.30pm until 9pm in the Aquatics centre. Team GB are in great contention to win at least 1 Gold medal and several other silver and bronze medals to add to the 37 Gold medal total we have won so far.

We have the Team GB line up for tonight’s events in the Aquatics centre so if you weren’t lucky enough to get tickets then you can keep up to date with the action.

In the Women’s 100m Final (S9) Louise Watkin came 5th and Lauren Steadman came 8th. Other events tonight which Team GB hopefuls have reached the finals are in the Men’s 50m Butterfly (S6), Sascha Kindred. In Men’s 50m Butterfly (S5), Andrew Mullen. For Men’s 50m Freestyle (S12), James Clegg.  Women’s 50m Freestyle (S12), Hannah Russell. Women’s 200, Individual Medley (SM13) and finally here is the one that you definitely don’t want to miss! Great Britain swam with the fastest time of 4:52.40 in the heats in Women’s 4x100m Medley Relay which if we continue to race at that speed will ensure us with a medal. The colour of that medal will be determined with the performance of USA and Russia who came very close to the GB time.
