Rovio announced today that Angry Birds, the extremely popular mobile game, has topped 1 billion downloads in total. This does count all of the games however. That ranges from the original Angry Birds, down to the latest instalment, Angry Birds: Space.
These games are very similar, however the levels are different as well as the birds that are used throughout the games. This keeps people coming back, and it has led to a total of 1 billion downloads around the world.
This amount of downloads might not actually seem like much in the grand scheme of things, however Rovio only released this game in 2010, meaning 1 billion downloads in 2 years, is actually quite an achievement indeed for the company.
Rovio have released a video on YouTube as a way of saying thanks to the world for downloading the game so many times.
We have popped it here so you can see the thank you message for yourself.
Suck My Trend looks forward to what comes next from Rovio. After the “Space” release, what else can they come up with?
