We have already told you about one of the most popular new years resolutions which is to learn a new language. But for most we just don’t have the time. Another popular resolution for the new year is to loose weight and we have some of the top apps that will help you loose that unwanted weight from eating too many mince pies and Christmas turkey.

If you are considering joining one of the many weight loss groups like Rosemary Conely or Weight Watchers in the new year, then think again as you can loose weight for free this year with the top weight loss apps. Here are some of the best apps available including an exercise app, a food health app and an all-rounder -

1. Calorie Counter – My Fitness Pal - is a database of calculated calorie intake for over 2,000,000 different foods, This free app has been featured in Marie Curie, Shape and the NY Times. It is a store where you can count how many calories you have had during the day by simply entering in what you ate. It also has an exercise section that tells you how many calories you burn if you do the gardening for an hour etc. There is also a friends section where you can get the support from those who know how difficult it is to loose weight. This app is a collaboration of food health and exercise.

2. Noom Weight Loss Coach - Another free app which can be used well with other Noom apps such as Noom CardioTrainer. This app is a positive reminder by having Daily Tasks which remind you to stay on track and give you an exercise schedule. It also includes a Pedometer and GPS to track your exercise. This app is more of an exercise coach to keep you fit rather than a food dieting calculator like the previous app.

3. Diet Point Weight Loss - This app is helpful to control what you eat. It includes diet plans and healthy eating as well as motivation tasks. This app is more of a schedule of when and what you should eat and what times of the day. From this is can calculate the calories and fat of that food.

We recommend the first app we mentioned as it is an easy to use all rounder which combines health, exercise and food. Although the other apps are good, they need to be used in conjunction with common sense as they are schedules that don’t give you as much freedom to eat what you want and do exercise when you want.
