Over £1 Billion was spent on Digital Games, Music and Video in 2012. We tried to work out whether or not this figure is related to the UK or worldwide. BBC does not appear to mention it within the article. We figure this is UK related as the US has a huge amount of Digital Sales. A lot more than that of the UK, and I would estimate it is a lot more than a Billion Pounds worth.

Sales increased a whole 11.4% from 2011. This makes a quarter of the entertainments market is now related to digital sales.

Sales of physical DVDs, CDs and Blu Rays dropped by a huge 17%, but of course they still make up the majority of the market share in this area. How many of you received a DVD as a Christmas Present? It will be a while before you are given a code for your Digital Film instead. Right now it would seem a little rude and cheap, but not in the future.
