Its no wonder that Apple’s top-selling notebook computer is the 13-inch MacBook Pro. The screen size and price-point work together, creating the perfect, most-portable option fot students, professional, and even general home use alike. As a lover of this particular model of MBP, I was genuinely disappointed to learn that the new Retina MacBook Pro was not offered in a 13-inch screen size. I found this to be very odd, and wondered why Apple would purposefully oust this configuration as an option.

However, analysts are claiming that a 13-inch version will be released in October of this year. Being the most popular version, Apple is likely waiting to catch the rush of holiday sales and a spike in interest for new notebook computers.

Another thing we did not see at this year’s WWDC was a new iPhone model. My personal guess is that Apple is also waiting to announce the iPhone with another big product (13-inch Retina MBP) rather than hold a press conference for just one product. This is, indeed, just speculation and we will have to wait for the Fall to know what Apple has in store for us.
